About the Project:
The USAID Feed the Future Uganda Water and Food Systems (WFS) Activity is a five-year initiative (2023-2028) led by Development Alternatives Incorporated (DAI Global ELC), with funding from USAID Feed the Future. This project is implemented in collaboration with Catholic Relief Services, Stantec, Market Share Associates, and the International Water Management Institute. The primary objective is to improve food and water security in the Kyoga Basin of northeastern Uganda by empowering communities to adapt to and mitigate shocks, improve livelihoods, and reduce reliance on humanitarian aid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grants Management: Oversee and manage a variety of complex grants, ensuring compliance with USAID and DAI regulations.
- Selection Process: Administer the grantee selection process, ensuring transparency and adherence to guidelines.
- Technical Support: Provide technical and administrative support to local subgrantees, building their capacity to manage grants effectively.
- Grant Implementation: Monitor and oversee the implementation of grant awards, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in contracts and grants management, with preference for experience in USAID project grants.
- Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and proficiency in English (proficiency in local languages is a plus).
Work Hours: Full-time (8 hours per day)
Experience: At least 6 years
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
