Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head, Credit Control and Documentation, the role holder will manage document verification activities, documentation reviews, and perfection of securities for approved facilities. The role includes supporting the Credit Control team, monitoring vault inventory, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Pre-disbursement policy compliance checks.
- Administering document execution and submission for perfection.
- Monitoring external law firms handling perfection.
- Administering securities and document perfection.
- Issuing disbursement go-aheads upon perfection of security.
- Liaising with business units on outstanding approval conditions.
- Keeping an auditable stock report of all securities.
- Developing policies and procedures for document and collateral management.
- Continuous process reviews.
- Maintaining Strong Room Access Control Register and vault information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related fields.
- Experience in Documents and Records Management is advantageous.
- Training in key aspects of credit.
- Minimum of three years experience in credit operations.
- Understanding of collateral documents and bank products.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Computer literacy.
- Attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and strong communication skills.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards.

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Credit, the role holder will evaluate and approve applications within delegated authority and recommend approvals for higher sanctioning authorities. The role aims to ensure profitable, well-structured proposals are booked to achieve targeted business growth while minimizing credit losses.
Key Accountabilities:
- Reviewing and sanctioning proposals within personal discretion.
- Assessing and recommending files for higher authority.
- Analyzing credit data and financial statements of borrowers.
- Maintaining and updating bank Credit Policies.
- Supporting in structuring proposals to minimize risk.
- Training and coaching Credit Analysts and Relationship Managers.
- Monitoring the overall quality of the Corporate and Institutional Banking portfolio.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Master’s degree or similar qualification.
- Additional training in Business, Investment, Risk Management, and financial analysis.
- Credit certification.
- Minimum of five years experience in banking/financial services, with three years in Credit Risk Management.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Computer knowledge.
- Managerial and team-building skills.
- Understanding of SMEs, Corporates, and the business environment.
- Thorough understanding of dfcu credit policy and regulatory guidelines.
