This senior management role involves leading effective coordination, representation, and advocacy for humanitarian efforts in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal Coordination: Lead HINGO members in emergency responses, facilitate preparedness planning, and manage internal communications.
  • External Coordination: Liaise with humanitarian partners and stakeholders to enhance coordination, represent HINGO at key meetings, and build a network of contacts.
  • Advocacy: Represent INGO interests to stakeholders, ensure transparent coordination, and foster dialogue.
  • HINGO Management: Oversee budget management, staff coordination, and ensure financial stability.
  • Child Safeguarding: Promote and comply with Save the Children’s child safeguarding policies.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) or relevant senior experience.
  • 10+ years in international humanitarian work with a deep understanding of the Uganda context.
  • Experience in humanitarian coordination, policy, advocacy, and budget management.
  • Proficiency in English and strong interpersonal skills.

Summary:
Save the Children seeks a Project Consortium Unit Manager to lead the URRI project, funded by the Royal Danish Embassy. This role involves managing a consortium of partners, ensuring effective project implementation, and maintaining high-quality oversight across multiple districts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Development & Planning: Refine strategies, review partner plans, and provide strategic guidance for a unified programme approach.
  • Programme Implementation: Oversee project implementation, address challenges, ensure quality, and develop joint action plans.
  • Reporting: Review and ensure high-quality reports, maintain donor compliance, and manage financial aspects.
