In an electrifying and glamorous event held at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, Natasha Nyonyozi was crowned Miss Uganda 2024/25 on Saturday, August 3! Succeeding Hannah Karema Tumukunde, who wore the crown in 2023, Natasha’s victory marks a triumphant new chapter in the pageant’s prestigious history.
The Contest
The grand finale was a dazzling showcase of beauty and talent, with Natasha emerging victorious among 28 stunning finalists. Suraya Umeimah Bashuaeb was named the first runner-up, and Joan Nabatanzi took the second runner-up spot. Natasha, contestant number 2, not only captured the judges’ hearts but also earned the respect of her peers, who elected her as the president of the Miss Uganda class of 2024/25 – a testament to her outstanding leadership qualities.
Early Life and Education
Hailing from Kyonyo, Kamuganguzi, near Katuna in the Kabale district, 23-year-old Natasha shone brightly with her charisma, elegance, compassion, passion, poise, and confidence. She pursued her education at Coventry University in England, earning a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, demonstrating her dedication to both academics and personal development.
Career and Entrepreneurship
Natasha’s entrepreneurial spirit is truly inspiring. She is the founder of the beauty parlour “Girl Hive,” located at The Cube, Kisementi, Shop B20. Her dedication to beauty and fashion has made her a role model for young women across Uganda, showcasing what it means to blend business acumen with passion.
Advocacy and Dreams
Natasha’s heartwarming vision goes beyond the pageant stage. Reflecting on her win, she shared, “Becoming Miss Uganda has been my dream since I was 10 years old. My parents and fans have been incredibly supportive. With this crown, I aim to transform lives, become a voice for teenage mothers, young girls without access to education, and those lacking sexual and reproductive health products and services.”
A strong advocate for children with special needs, particularly those with autism, Natasha has been deeply involved in charity work, highlighting her commitment to making a positive and lasting impact.
