Vipers Sports Club have unveiled Serbian Nikola Kavazovic as their new head coach for two years.
The club hasn’t had a head coach since parting ways with Ugandan legend Livingstone Mbabazi in April.
Nikola Kavazovic was unveiled by Club President Lawrence Mulindwa at St Mary’s Stadium on Wednesday morning.
Nikola Kavazovic joins Vipers on the back of a lackluster season by the Entebbe Road side.

For the first time in about three years, the Kitende-based side will not be on the African continent.
Therefore, Nikola Kavazovic has his work cut out for him, with a return to Africa’s elite competition a priority. Obviously, this comes with winning either the league trophy or the Uganda Cup.
He will be assisted by Fred Muhumuza,Jose Estrada, Ali Kimera, Kato Ibrahim and Lule Michael
However, the Serbian coach has a long hill to climb with a clear-out of over six first-team players expected.
The brilliant Bright Anukani is out of contract and said to be on his way to KCCA. Similarly, Burundian shot-stopper Fabien Mutombora and left-back Issa Mubiru are in the same situation.
However, Nikola Kavazovic can always expect full support from the Kitende management, who are not shy to spend.
Vipers new coach Nikola’s profile
Nikola Kavazovic started in BASK, as a youth coach in 1996. He would then graduate from Belgrade Sports University as the youngest highly educated football coach in FR Yugoslavia.
Fast forward to 2012, he took a trip to Asia, becoming the manager of Tajikistan side FC Istiklol. In the same year, he also assumed the duty of coaching the Tajikistan national team.
He would then coach the Sri Lanka national team in 2014 before going to Maldivian side New Radiant SC in 2015.
He would start his African tour of duty in 2017 with Botswana’s Township Rollers. After winning the double for the Rollers, he joined Kenya’s AFC Leopards in 2018.
In 2023, Nikola Kavazovic joined Ethiopian Coffee, which was his last job before agreeing to a deal with Vipers.
