Phillip Wokorach’s brief profile

Arguably Uganda’s most gifted and successful rugby player, Phillip Wokorach began his rugby journey at Kyadondo Rugby Club. He honed his skills under the stewardship of Coach Sky in the Kyadondo Tag Rugby Project.

This tag Rugby project produced numerous stars including fellow 7s start Aaron Ofoyrwoth.

Wokorach excelled through the age-grade categories at Kyadondo, earning a scholarship at Hana Mixed School. There, he gained a cult-like following among rugby-playing schools with his outstanding performances on the field.

While at Hana, he featured for Stallions formerly Saracens. After high school, the cultlike following would grow as Buffaloes RFC gave him a test at premiership rugby.

His performances at Toyota Buffaloes saw record league champions Platinum Credit Heathens acquire his signature.

Wokorach would enjoy a trophy laden spell at Heathens alongside fellow graduate from the Kyadondo Rugby Tag Rugby project before leaving the country to pursue greener pastures.

His first stop was in Kenya where he inspired Kabras Sugar to spectacular performances.

Following his success in Kakamega, Wokorach joined Bourges XV in France in 2019, inspiring them to promotion to the fourth tier in an unbeaten season before moving to ASBC Bedarrides in 2020.
