Prime Minister gives green light to Nyege Nyege Festival

The prime minister of Uganda Right hon. Robinah Nabbanja,  said the eagerly awaited Nyege Nýege celebration will go on next week in Jinja Region in spite of parliamentary call to end the occasion.

Ms. Nabbanja uncovered this on Wednesday evening while at the same time tending to the press at her office minutes after a shut entryway meeting with authorities from services of The ministry of tourism, gender, , ICT, internal and foreign  affairs.
Nabbanja uncovered that the meeting had settled that the celebration happens yet adhering to set rules that will be planned by the ministry of ethics and intergrity and that of national guidance   along with the organising coordinators.
“We had a gathering that I led to examine the Nyege occasion that has been occurring in this country. Various goals have been reached. One of them is to fit with the arm of Parliament to witness that this occasion happens with rules that will confine those that are coming to celebrate to act in a way that is OK by Ugandan culture,” said Nabbanja.
