Maama Fiina Offers Help to UNRA in Towing Infamous Kyaliwajjala Truck

City traditional healer Sylvia Namutebi, alias Maama Fiina, has called upon the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) to enlist the help of traditional healers if they are serious about towing a low-bed truck that has been abandoned along the Kireka-Namugongo Road in Kyaliwajjala suburb for five years.

Maama Fiina made the call while speaking to Sanyuka TV on Saturday morning.

UNRA, with support from security organizations like the police and the UPDF, embarked on a mission to tow the truck that has been laced with myths.

The mission started on Saturday morning and was still underway by press time.

Maama Fiina blames the delay in completing the towing on UNRA’s disrespect of traditional beliefs.

She cited similar challenges that were faced by UNRA during the construction of Masaka Road. According to Maama Fiina, the smooth completion of Masaka Road was possible with her intervention.

“If they have failed to tow the truck, they should enlist my help. I will not charge them any money,” said Maama Fiina.

However, she questioned them not to do it in the faces of the media because traditional healing is a delicate matter.

The white Mercedes Benz Actros truck carrier became famous due to tales of black magic. These include allegations of talking in the night.

Additionally, the fear around the truck was intensified by the numerous futile missions to tow it away.

Similarly, the truck’s ownership is one covered with tales and debaote. However, most of the tales suggest that it belonged to Templar Bisase, who died in a cruise boat in 2018.

However, UNRA spokesperson Allan Ssempebwa rubbished the conversation of witchcraft. According to Ssempebwa, the truck’s challenge is entirely a mechanical one.

By press time, UNRA, Police and numerous mechanics were still on site trying tow the truck.
