KCCA FC Secures Double Signing of Isa Mubiru and Sharifu Ssengendo

Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has completed the signing of Isa Mubiru and Sharifu Ssengendo.

Mubiru, who mans the left flank as a left back, joins on a free transfer after leaving Vipers Sports Club. Mubiru joins the Kasasiro Boys on a two-year deal.

Speaking to the club media team after his unveiling, Mubiru expressed his happiness to join the Lugogo-based side.

“It is a dream come true to play for this club that is one of the best on the continent. I have come here to add on the rich history of the club. The club has good players in the position that I play in but I bring with me healthy competition to ensure that we can achieve something positive as a team.” – Issa Mubiru.

Mubiru brings a wealth of league experience to Abdallah Mubiru’s side with stints at UPDF and Vipers. In his two years at Kitende, the left-back won the Premiership and Uganda Cup.

Ssengendo signed

Ssengendo, on the other hand, signed a three-year contract with the Kasasiro Boys. He becomes the second player to join KCCA from relegated side Gaddafi FC after Steven Munguchi.

Ssengendo, who plays as an attacking midfielder and winger, will add a selection headache to coach Abdallah Mubiru. KCCA boasts a plethora of attacking midfielders such as Usama Arafat, Joao Gabriel, and Etienne Katenga.

Sharifu Ssengendo also expressed his long-term admiration of KCCA while speaking to the club media team.

“It is an honor for me to join KCCA FC. It has been my dream to feature for this club one day. The club has a rich history and I want to positively add onto that history. I have been here in the past for trials but I am pleased that I finally caught the eye of the coaches and have been signed to the club. I hope to achieve many things together with this group of players.” – Sharifu Ssengendo.
