Summary:
Village Enterprise is seeking a Vice President of Partnerships to join our Development team. This strategic leader will implement and drive our fundraising strategy across Africa, working closely with our Vice President for Development (VPD) based in Washington DC, and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will spearhead efforts to secure and develop revenue streams with regional funders, including bi- and multi-lateral agencies, aligning with our long-term growth and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute institutional fundraising targets and strategies.
- Lead business development and partnership cultivation across sub-Saharan Africa.
- Oversee proposal development and coordinate with internal and external partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and partners.
- Ensure alignment with Village Enterprise’s core values of Ubuntu, Passion, Sustainability, Innovation, and Integrity.
Key Capabilities:
- 7-10 years of institutional fundraising experience, particularly in East Africa.
- Proven track record with donor and non-profit networks in the region.
- Strong understanding of USAID funding mechanisms preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Summary:
Village Enterprise is looking for a Senior Director of Climate Change Initiatives to lead our climate resilience and adaptation strategies. This senior leadership role will drive integration of climate-smart practices into our programs, manage partnerships, and secure funding to address climate challenges while advancing our mission to reduce poverty in sub-Saharan Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement climate change strategies aligned with Village Enterprise’s mission.
- Lead integration of climate resilience measures into our programs.
- Cultivate partnerships and secure funding for climate initiatives.
- Oversee monitoring and evaluation frameworks for climate programs.
- Represent Village Enterprise in external climate forums and conferences.
Key Capabilities:
- Master’s degree in environmental science, Climate Change, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in climate change initiatives or program development.
- Proven success in leading and scaling climate resilience projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
