Summary:

McDermott, a premier, fully integrated provider of technology, engineering, and construction solutions to the energy industry, is seeking a Senior Scheduling Specialist to join our team in Uganda. The role requires coordinating with project teams and managing schedules to ensure efficient project execution.

Job Activities:

  • Coordinate with project teams and procurement groups to finalize priorities.
  • Attend key meetings and support internal and external audits.
  • Implement project control lessons learned.
  • Develop and finalize schedules from Level 0 to Level 3 in Primavera.
  • Maintain Level 4 progress databases aligned with Level 3 plans.
  • Analyze schedule sensitivities and suggest mitigations.
  • Mentor junior team members and facilitate project schedule risk analysis.
  • Ensure error-free maintenance of schedules and effective reporting.
  • Conduct schedule workshops and publish follow-up action plans.
  • Prepare and finalize engineering and fabrication/construction databases.
  • Participate in PROM sessions and conduct target plan meetings.
  • Develop and analyze resource profiles using Primavera.
  • Conduct manpower forecast reviews and track performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 11+ years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Technical Degree/Diploma.
  • Proficiency in Primavera planning software.
  • Leadership experience and onshore/offshore field experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in supervising works on construction sites and managing subcontractors.
  • Commitment to aligning operational plans with business objectives and developing customer relationships.

Education Requirement: No specific education requirement.
Work Hours: 8 hours per day
Experience: 132 months (11 years)

Summary:

McDermott is looking for an ERT Lead Coordinator with extensive experience in managing emergency response teams in large international onshore/offshore oil and gas projects. The role demands strong communication skills and expertise in emergency response and rescue operations.

Job Activities:

  • Report ERT status to Project HSSE and Construction Managers.
  • Integrate and manage ERT personnel for project safety.
  • Audit subcontractor HSE teams and oversee project HSE programs.
  • Conduct regular ERT drills and ensure performance through training.
  • Participate in incident response management and emergency response capability.
  • Coordinate with Client ERT, Subcontractor ERTs, and security functions.
  • Support office ERT activities and assist in developing HSE procedures.
  • Identify and recommend emergency resource levels and necessary equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience managing ERT crews in construction or operations projects.
  • National Driving License for firefighting trucks.
  • Recognized emergency rescue and response qualifications.
  • Training in firefighting, high angle rescue, medical recovery, etc.
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft packages.
  • Strong English language skills.
  • Self-motivated with an understanding of task completion importance.

Education Requirement: Bachelor Degree
Work Hours: 8 hours per day
Experience: 60 months (5 years)
