About the Role:
Aquaya seeks a Senior Research Manager to lead research programs, based ideally in Uganda, Ghana, or Kenya. This role involves managing program activities, project budgets, and ensuring high research standards across multiple countries. The Senior Research Manager will oversee fieldwork, data analysis, and report preparation, contributing to project presentations and publications.
Criteria:
- Ph.D. and Master’s degree in engineering, science, or related field.
- 2+ years of post-Ph.D. experience in research or project management.
- Experience in water or sanitation research and managing international projects in Africa.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, R, or Stata.
- Strong communication skills in English, with ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Aquaya Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to global health through WASH, seeks a Controller/CFO to oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. Federal regulations for grants and contracts, including USAID-funded projects.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Controller/CFO will manage financial strategies, accounting, budgeting, and reporting. This role requires ensuring compliance with Uniform Guidance and Federal Acquisition Regulations across all financial activities, including audits and tax filings.
Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting.
- Active CPA license.
- 6+ years of nonprofit financial management experience, including U.S. federal grant compliance.
- Expertise in Excel and U.S. accounting standards.
- Experience with international finance and managing remote teams.
Skills and Attributes:
- Previous leadership on federally-funded projects preferred.
