Job Description

Mission
The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Procurement Manager and the Unit Manager. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and implementing the entire procurement process and procedures.
  • Receiving and processing Internal Procurement Requests.
  • Implementing the competitive bidding process.
  • Finalizing LPOs (Local Purchase Orders).
  • Ensuring proper and timely execution of LPOs by suppliers.
  • Monitoring local commodity markets and updating prices regularly.
  • Executing all regular purchasing duties and administrative tasks competently.
  • Maintaining updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
  • Issuing orders in accordance with specifications.
  • Coordinating deliveries of items between suppliers (local and overseas).
  • Preparing reports and summarizing data, including sales reports and book value.
  • Conducting store visits and competitor surveys.
  • Coordinating with user departments and suppliers for project-related purchases.
  • Assisting in managing and following up on overseas orders.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of items to the site/store.
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders and documents in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Sourcing new parts, suppliers, or subcontractors as needed.
  • Managing inventory levels to avoid over- or under-stocking.
  • Negotiating the best purchasing package in terms of quality, price, terms, delivery, and service with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Creating and maintaining a detailed database of existing and alternative suppliers.
  • Working closely with the Stores Department to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of computerized inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications: Word, Excel, Access, or other database programs.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Results-oriented and customer-oriented.
  • Committed and loyal to the company.
  • Honest, reliable, and professional attitude and personality.
