About This Job: Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. On behalf of our client EACOP, we are seeking competent, skilled, and experienced drivers to join our team in Uganda.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan driving routes ahead of time to ensure timely trips.
- Pick up clients at the requested place and time.
- Assist clients with loading and unloading luggage.
- Stay updated on road conditions by listening to traffic and weather reports.
- Adjust routes to avoid traffic or construction as needed.
- Answer clients’ questions about the area and local attractions.
- Ensure car seats are clean and comfortable for all passengers.
- Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues.
- Book car wash and detailing services to maintain the car’s cleanliness.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage.
- Availability for occasional weekend and night shifts.
Key Qualifications and Competencies Required:
Professional Qualification:
- Minimum UCE Qualification
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in a reputable organization.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A valid defensive driving certificate.
Skills and Other Competencies:
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- Proven work experience as a truck driver.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
