Veteran talent manager Emma Carlos has unveiled little-known singer Mariam Kugonza as his latest musical act. This announcement comes after the controversial manager confirmed his return to management earlier this week.
Through a conversation with Ugandan Exclusive, Carlos expressed his confidence in the vocal capabilities of Mariam. According to him, it will only be a matter of time before the Ugandan audience appreciates Mariam’s vocal prowess.
If Carlos’ narration is to be followed, Mariam has already recorded an album that is set for release by mid-June. Some songs you can expect on the album are Mpa Nkuwe, Oli Eyo, and Okuma Gwakyi.  On Okuma Gwakyi which will be released first, Kugonza benefited from the production of city producer Nessim. The song is also a lyrical masterpiece by Bad Character Records boss Kalifah Aganaga.
With the release date coming up, Emma Carlos has assured the fans that Mariam is bringing new energy into the industry.
Managing Mariam Kugonza allows Emma Carlos to return to the pinnacle of a career he had taken a break from. Carlos rose to talent management ranks in the 2010s as he handled top city acts such as Wafagio, Dream Girls, and Kalifah Aganaga. Additionally, he was in charge of Coco Finger before the death of Moses Radio in 2017 cut short his stint with the Goodlyfe Crew, sending him into arts advocacy.
