No less than 15 bodies have so far been recuperated in Kasese District today following Tuesday night landslides brought about by heavy storm that likewise left many occupants uprooted for the most part in Rukooki Sub County, Busongora South.
A few others are accounted for missing or dreaded dead as search and salvage activity by Uganda Red Cross authorities, inhabitants and neighborhood specialists increases.
Uganda Red Cross authorities said the loss of life had ascended to 15 after five additional bodies were recovered from the trash. Six others had so far been protected and alluded to St Paul’s Hospital Kasese Municipality.

Mr Simon Buhaka, the local council chairman for Kasika town, Kigoro ward in Rukooki Sub County said the bodies had been recovered from the trash of imploded houses following the night downpour that went on around six hours.
Buhaka said most residences were wrecked at 3am when their tenants were resting.
Four of the survivors were supposedly safeguarded from Kasika valley and hurried to medical clinic.
Mr Manasech Sekalombi, an inhabitant of Katadoba town told the press that his sibling, one Solomon Mwanamolho, his spouse and kid are among those whose bodies were recovered from the garbage.
By press time (10am), local people were seen utilizing simple instruments like scrapers and spades to look and recover the remains of the people in Agony.
