Job Overview:
The Women’s Protection & Empowerment (WPE) Skilling Officer will oversee skill development programs at Protection Houses and Women and Girls Safe Spaces in Bidibidi. Reporting to the WPE Program Manager, the Officer ensures project goals are met effectively and on time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create functional and decorative crafts by hand, using various methods and materials.
- Develop creative concepts and designs for craft objects, including sketches and prototypes.
- Fabricate patterns and templates, and process materials using hand tools and machinery.
- Select materials based on specific criteria like strength, color, and texture.
- Apply finishes to crafted objects and conduct research on craft trends and customer preferences.
- Develop product packaging, pricing strategies, and marketing materials.
- Attend craft shows to promote products and gather customer feedback.
- Collaborate closely with IRC Protection and External Relations departments, as well as external partners like UNHCR.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in Craftsmanship, specializing in crocheting, knitting, beading, from accredited vocational institutions (DIT, UBTEB, or equivalent).
- 3-5 years’ experience in crafts making, crocheting, knitting, with demonstrated practical skills.
- Ability to use both manual and electronic craft machines; basic knowledge of bakery of snacks is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English, Arabic (local), Kakwa, and Lugbara languages.

Job Overview:
The full-time Driver will ensure safe transportation of IRC staff, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to IRC policies during all duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain vehicle condition daily; complete maintenance checklists and report issues.
- Arrange timely servicing and upkeep of IRC vehicles, ensuring all legal documents are current.
- Conduct daily assessments of road conditions and security situations.
- Operate HF and VHF radio equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and comply with IRC vehicle policies.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned.

- Reports to: Fleet Assistant
