GIZ Uganda, a renowned service provider assisting the German Government in international cooperation for sustainable development, is hiring for two critical roles: Travel Management Assistant and Administrative Assistant. Both positions play pivotal roles in ensuring the smooth operation of our activities and resources.
Job Summary:
The Travel Management Assistant will support GIZ Uganda’s operational activities by managing travel logistics, vehicle fleet, and internal control functions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reception:
- Provide professional customer liaison and daily secretariat services.
- Maintain high standards at the reception area, handle correspondence, and manage contact lists.
- Fleet Management:
- Oversee vehicle documentation, keys, insurance, servicing, and driver scheduling.
- Track vehicle conditions and perform regular checks.
- Internal Control:
- Handle invoice receipt, field trip settlements, and fuel cost tracking.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
- Valid driver’s license and defensive driving certificate (within the last 2 years).
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in ITC technologies and MS Office.
- Strong customer service skills and a good command of English.

Vacancy: Administrative Assistant
Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will support GIZ Uganda by managing asset and facilities operations, overseeing fleet management, and performing clerical services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Asset Management:
- Implement and oversee facility management, including maintenance and repairs.
- Manage office supplies, utilities, and ensure compliance with legal and company policies.
- Fleet Management:
- Maintain vehicle documentation, insurance, servicing, and manage vehicle scheduling.
- Internal Control:
- Monitor and verify logbooks, fuel consumption, and asset distribution.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Diploma in Administration, Procurement, Stores, or a relevant field.
- Valid driver’s license and defensive driving certificate (within the last 2 years).
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in ITC technologies and MS Office.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and good command of English.
