Job Summary:
As a Survey Data Analyst for Uganda’s 2024 Population-based HIV Impact Assessment (UPHIA), you will play a crucial role in collecting, reviewing, and analyzing survey data. Your primary responsibilities will include developing statistical models, creating reports, and collaborating with key stakeholders to address project challenges.
Key Functions:
- Collaborate with Ministry of Health, Uganda Bureau of Statistics, CDC, and other stakeholders on statistical aspects of the project.
- Apply survey methodology, demography, and geostatistical techniques for accurate population estimates.
- Develop sampling strategies and provide technical support and training to data management teams.
- Prepare sampling procedure descriptions and assist in country report writing and peer-reviewed publications.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or Statistical Demography.
- Proven experience with large-scale surveys and data analysis using Python, R, STATA, or SPSS.
- Demonstrated skills in survey sample design, statistical techniques, and experience in HIV/AIDS-related studies is preferred.
Requirements:
- Expertise in designing samples, calculating weights, and analyzing statistical data.
- Experience in training data management teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and demography.

Job Summary:
The Data Systems and Health Informatics Officer will oversee data management, systems development, and IT infrastructure for the UPHIA 2024-2025 project. The role involves managing data systems, providing IT support, and ensuring data quality and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the data systems team, ensuring effective design and maintenance of data management systems.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, including server configuration, IT support, and crisis management.
- Implement data quality assurance processes and oversee mapping and listing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in data management or related fields, preferably in public health.
- Experience with data management software (SAS, Stata, R, Python, SQL, CSPro) and IT infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Expertise in survey metrics, geographic data management, and field data collection systems.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management and crisis management.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
