Experience & Skills
- Varied breadth of industry sector experience.
- Experience carrying out either third-party or second-party audits.
- Held positions with responsibility for Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental Management Systems, Food Management Systems, Social Audits, Sustainability, Energy, and Information Security Departments.
- Strong working knowledge and experience of management system standards, compliance, and auditing techniques.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Available time for training and qualification purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven knowledge of schemes such as QMS, EMS, OHSMS, ISMS, EnMS, FSMS, FSSC, GLOBAL GAP, Sustainability (ISO 14064, Gold Standard, VCS, CDM).
- Advantageous if already qualified to Lead Auditor Status in the aforementioned schemes.
- Educated to an engineering/food technology degree level or equivalent.
Main Purpose of the Job
- Organize or participate in the organization of the audit.
- Carry out a review of documentation.
- Prepare the audit plan.
- Lead the opening meeting.
- Conduct individual interviews as identified with the client.
- Prepare conclusions for the report.
- Lead the closing meeting at the end of the audit.
- Assess client compliance to issue or maintain certification.
- Ensure timely production of good quality reports (including expenses claims).
Accountabilities
- Follow-up actions post-audit:
- Agree on non-conformities with the client.
- Review the corrective actions proposed by the client.
- Accept and sign off the corrective actions.
- Submit paperwork to the relevant local office.
- Issue audit and time-expenses reports timely.
- Ensure the follow-up of certification.
- Conduct follow-up audits as per the terms of the contract.
- Contribute to the sharing of knowledge.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant areas and developments in norms and regulations.
- Maintain and share knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to business development by providing leads.
