Context and Environment:
The RAP Implementation Head will work under the LSOC Manager, mainly based in Kampala with regular field visits. The role supports the EACOP Project, involving the construction and operation of a crude oil pipeline from Lake Albert, Uganda to Tanga, Tanzania. Compliance with IFC Performance Standards and national legislation is crucial.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and document RAP compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments and contractors to compile necessary M&E documents.
- Track RAP KPIs and suggest corrective actions.
- Develop management reporting dashboards.
- Act as a focal point for third-party RAP M&E contractors and government reviews.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in social sciences or business administration.
- 10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry or similar sectors.
- Experience in RAP and LRP implementation, stakeholder engagement, and managing cultural heritage resources.
- Strong skills in information management systems like Borealis.
- High level of interpersonal, organizational, report writing, and analytical skills.

Context and Environment:
The Emergency Response Lead will be based in Kampala with frequent travel to Dar es Salaam and other worksites. This role supports the EACOP Project’s emergency response requirements during construction and operational phases.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain the EACOP Emergency Response and Crisis Management Plan.
- Provide On-Duty Officer and Incident Management Team support.
- Train emergency response personnel and develop related exercises.
- Align contractor emergency plans with company processes.
- Prepare Site Emergency Response Plans for the Operations Phase.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Security and Risk, Emergency and Crisis Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in emergency management, with a focus on Oil & Gas industry.
- Expertise in developing Emergency Response and Crisis Management Plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a multi-cultural setting.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
