Job Summary:
Join our client, a leading international mobile virtual network operator expanding its footprint in Uganda. We are seeking a dynamic Relationship Manager – External Affairs to strengthen our engagements with key stakeholders including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and media. This role demands a strategic thinker with robust communication skills and deep knowledge of Uganda’s telecommunications landscape.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Government and Regulatory Relations: Develop and nurture relationships with government officials and regulatory bodies. Monitor and advocate for compliance with telecommunications regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate partnerships with external stakeholders, representing the company at industry events and managing stakeholder communications.
  • Media Relations and Communications: Drive media strategies and manage press interactions to enhance company visibility.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Lead CSR initiatives aligning with corporate values and community development goals.
  • Crisis Management: Develop crisis communication plans and act as spokesperson during incidents.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in external affairs or public relations within the telecommunications sector.
  • Strong understanding of Uganda’s regulatory environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Duties and Responsibilities:
