Position Summary:

Food for the Hungry (FH/U) seeks a dedicated and experienced Project Officer for Livelihood and Resilience. This role involves overseeing project activities to ensure adherence to budget, scope, and timelines while implementing FH’s technical programs and strategies. The Project Officer will provide training, technical assistance, and support to farmer groups, cooperatives, and VSLAs. Key responsibilities include monitoring project implementation, conducting surveys, mobilizing communities, and creating market linkages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Implementation: Supervise and ensure timely, on-budget project execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with communities, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress and prepare documentation.
  • Child, Adolescent, and Youth Participation: Integrate young people into project activities.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agri-business, Animal Husbandry, or related fields.
  • Postgraduate qualification is a plus.
  • 4+ years in program management and financial oversight, preferably with non-profits.
  • Experience in value chain development, income-generating activities, and adult education.
  • Proficiency in English and local languages is advantageous.

Food for the Hungry (FH/U) is looking for a proactive and experienced Project Coordinator. This role requires overseeing project activities to ensure timely and efficient implementation according to donor guidelines and organizational standards. The Coordinator will lead project staff, manage budgets, ensure compliance, and build strategic partnerships to support project goals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Project Management and Coordination: Guide project design, staff, and budgets.
  • Coordination and Reporting: Lead project activity management and stakeholder reporting.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Ensure effective project monitoring and compliance with standards.
  • Finance Management: Oversee project finances and budget control.
  • Performance Management: Supervise and develop project staff.
  • Resource Mobilization: Identify and build partnerships and funding opportunities.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Extension, Science in Agriculture, or related fields. Post-graduate degree is desirable.
  • At least 5 years in progressively responsible positions with an INGO.
  • Experience in agriculture and livelihoods sector activities, donor compliance, and budget management.
  • Strong leadership, community mobilization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English and a valid motorcycle riding permit.
