Job Title: Product Manager – Liabilities

Reports to: Head of Data Analytics & Retail Products

Job Summary: The Product Manager, Liabilities, is responsible for product lifecycle management, innovation, and enhancements of products and customer value propositions. The incumbent will manage partner relationships and marketing campaigns to deliver products and services that meet the overall strategic and financial goals of retail banking.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end product development initiatives for liabilities, including idea generation, definition, design, validation to commercialization.
  • Drive sales and marketing for liabilities through campaigns, promotions, staff training, collaboration with cross-functional teams, competitive analysis, market research, and data mining.
  • Manage pricing, profitability, and revenue for assigned product lines.
  • Perform periodic revenue assurance exercises on all liability products to manage income leakage issues.
  • Oversee customer experience on process turnaround time and value propositions.
  • Prepare and present regular progress dashboards and product performance reports.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ banking experience, including 2 years in a managerial role in product management.
  • Professional Qualifications (PMC/CIM) are an added advantage.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing banking/financial services products.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, financial management, and budget planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS-Excel.

Job Title: Credit Manager – Retail

Reports to: Chief Credit Officer

Job Summary: The Credit Manager – Retail, is responsible for leading the team in providing financial solutions to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at all branches. The role involves identifying new business opportunities and managing loans for the agriculture sector and small businesses.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Credit Analysts and support staff specializing in agribusiness and MSME loans.
  • Support branches by meeting potential clients, providing guidance, and developing relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with credit underwriting guidelines and credit policy.
  • Represent the bank in community and industry events.
  • Train and develop branch credit staff.
  • Evaluate and monitor the MSME loan portfolio’s performance and develop strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Provide training on best practices in agribusiness and MSME lending.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in branch credit management or related fields.
  • Knowledge of commercial and retail loan underwriting, documentation, credit administration, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop a team.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining internal controls and risk management systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking products, services, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
