    Job Details We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nutrition Manager to implement our activities in Palorinya and Nakivale Refugee Settlements. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, implementing, and monitoring Nutrition activities to ensure that refugees and host communities live healthy lives.

    Detailed Responsibilities:

    1. Programme Implementation, Monitoring, and Delivery of Results:
      • Provide technical and operational support throughout all stages of IsraAID Uganda’s Nutrition-related programming.
      • Plan and conduct promotional activities of exclusive breastfeeding in host communities and refugee settlements.
      • Lead and supervise the process of promoting dietary practices that affect malnutrition, training health care workers, and supporting policy development.
      • Develop Nutrition IEC materials and training manuals in consultation with IsraAID HQ Health Department.
      • Supervise malnutrition screening at all levels.
      • Establish mother-to-mother groups through local authority engagement.
      • Monitor, report, and certify the use of sectoral programme resources.
      • Prepare quality and timely Nutrition progress reports.
    2. Networking and Partnership Building:
      • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with government counterparts, UN agencies, donor agencies, Health institutions, NGOs, research institutes, and the private sector.
      • Produce nutrition IEC materials to promote community awareness, establish partnerships, and support fundraising.
      • Participate in inter-agency discussions at both national and settlement levels.
      • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

    Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies:

    • Essential Requirements:
      • Must be a Ugandan national.
      • Fluency in English is a must.
      • Degree in Food Nutrition or similar field required; a master’s/postgraduate degree is an advantage.
      • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in promoting community-led nutrition programmes.
      • Experience in refugee settlements is advantageous.
    • Specific Skills:
      • In-depth knowledge of maternal infant and young child nutrition, exclusive breastfeeding, MUAC, M2M, and hygiene promotion.
      • Adaptability and problem-solving skills.
      • Proficiency in cross-cultural communication.
    • Competencies:
      • Attention to detail.
      • Strong organizational skills.
      • Safety awareness.
      • Teamwork.

    Job Details We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Supply, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Manager to implement our activities in Palorinya and Nakivale Refugee Settlements. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, implementing, and monitoring WASH projects to ensure that refugees and host communities have access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation facilities, and practice good hygiene behaviors.

    Detailed Responsibilities:

    1. Programme Implementation, Monitoring, and Delivery of Results:
      • Provide technical and operational support throughout all stages of IsraAID Uganda’s WASH-related programming.
      • Plan and conduct promotional activities to improve hygiene and sanitation practices.
      • Lead and supervise the construction of water supply infrastructure.
      • Supervise maintenance and rehabilitation of WASH infrastructure.
      • Lead and supervise the installation of improved sanitation infrastructure.
      • Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises.
      • Monitor, report, and certify the use of sectoral programme resources.
      • Prepare quality and timely WASH progress reports.
    2. Networking and Partnership Building:
      • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with government counterparts, UN agencies, donor agencies, WASH institutions, NGOs, research institutes, and the private sector.

      • Understanding of constructing durable, resilient, and safe WASH infrastructure.
      • Adaptability and problem-solving skills.
      • Proficiency in cross-cultural communication.

      • Strong organizational skills.
      • Safety awareness.
      • Teamwork.
