Role Overview: The MEAL Officer will oversee the implementation of the MEAL system across all program interventions in the designated area. This role includes ensuring effective MEAL operations, conducting quality monitoring, and supporting evaluations and accountability mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring: Develop checklists, build staff capacity, conduct field visits, and support quality data collection and analysis.
  • Evaluation: Assist with formative and operational research and evaluations.
  • Accountability: Manage complaint and feedback mechanisms, ensure timely resolution, and conduct trend analysis.
  • Learning: Generate and document key learning, and lead reflection meetings.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Maintain effective relationships, produce regular reports, and manage data quality assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Postgraduate training in M&E is a plus.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in M&E (preferably in child protection, education, or health programming).
  • Expertise in mobile data collection apps and data management tools.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Commitment to Save the Children’s values and child safeguarding policies.
  • Valid motorcycle riding permit.

Role Overview: The Programme Development Manager will focus on identifying donor opportunities, coordinating proposal development, and supporting strategic fundraising efforts. This role requires innovative thinking and strong communication skills to effectively engage donors and develop high-quality proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Identify and track funding opportunities, support stakeholder relationships, and manage the BD pipeline.
  • Donor & Partner Engagement: Cultivate relationships with donors, represent the Uganda office in relevant forums, and update donor mapping tools.
  • Proposal Development: Lead proposal development, manage budgets, and ensure quality assurance of program designs.
  • Coordination & Reporting: Oversee interdepartmental coordination, draft contextual information, and ensure adherence to program quality frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Communications, Social Sciences, Public Health, or relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in new business development and grants acquisition.
  • Proven track record in proposal development and donor engagement.
  • Excellent coordination, writing, and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing large-scale proposals and budgets.
