Job Summary:

The ISO Associate will ensure ISO certification is achieved and maintain ongoing compliance with ISO standards. The role includes consulting with experienced professionals to streamline certification processes and contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ISO standards at GLF.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify Applicable ISO Standard: Determine the most relevant ISO standard for GLF operations (e.g., ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 22000 for food safety).
  • Understanding ISO Standards: Ensure thorough understanding and relay this to all stakeholders.
  • Develop Documentation and Processes: Establish procedures and processes that meet ISO requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancement.
  • Training and Awareness: Ensure staff are trained and aware of their roles in implementing ISO requirements.
  • Implementation and Compliance Assessment: Implement documented processes and procedures.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify improvements.
  • Risk Management: Implement processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Communication and Liaison: Act as a liaison between GLF management and external auditors.
  • Preparation for Certification Audit: Prepare for external certification audits.
  • Certification Audit: Participate in the certification audit with the COO.
  • Corrective Action and Follow-up: Address findings from certification audits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Maintain ISO certification through regular audits and improvements.
  • Documentation of Compliance: Maintain records of ISO compliance activities.
  • Support Management Reviews: Assist in preparing and conducting management reviews.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., quality management, business administration). Advanced degrees or certifications in quality management systems or ISO standards are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards: Understanding of relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22000).
  • Quality Management Experience: Experience in quality management, compliance, auditing, or related roles.
  • Auditing Skills: Proficiency in conducting internal audits.
  • Documentation and Process Management: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience in planning and implementing ISO compliance initiatives.
  • Attention to Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactive attitude toward continuous learning and improvement.
  • Certifications: Certifications related to ISO standards or quality management systems are beneficial

The Animal Husbandry Associate for broilers will manage and care for broiler chickens throughout their lifecycle, ensuring high-quality production efficiently and sustainably.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setup:
    • Conduct market research and develop a business plan.
    • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
    • Acquire necessary equipment and supplies.
    • Source high-quality breeding stock.
    • Develop a nutritionally balanced diet for broilers.
    • Implement biosecurity measures and develop a health management plan.
    • Train personnel and develop standard operating procedures.
    • Develop a marketing strategy and establish sales channels.
    • Prepare a budget and monitor financial performance.
    • Identify and manage potential risks.
  • Daily Activities:
    • Provide daily care and management of broiler chickens.
    • Maintain housing facilities and monitor flock health.
    • Assist with feeding operations and monitor feed consumption.
    • Implement biosecurity protocols and control pests.
    • Maintain accurate records of daily activities.
    • Assist with harvesting and processing of broilers.
    • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
    • Collaborate with farm management and team members.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in animal science, poultry science, agriculture, or a related field.
  • Experience: Practical experience in poultry farming, particularly broiler production.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of broiler management practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills for addressing production challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
