Summary:
Mukwano Industries Uganda Ltd is looking for a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team. This position is based in Kampala and involves ensuring the effective functioning of instrumentation gadgets within our manufacturing environment.
Key Result Areas:
- Devise, select, and set up electronic instrumentation and related apparatus.
- Translate instrumentation test data to formulate engineering designs and evaluations.
- Schedule and conduct preventive/corrective maintenance and calibration of all instrumentation gadgets.
- Develop specifications for non-standard instrumentation apparatus.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain the integrity and quality of all process instruments.
- Collaborate with electricians on improvement projects, modifications, new installations, and shift activities.
- Any other duties assigned by the Instrumentation Engineer and Electrical & Instrumentation Manager.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of instrumentation experience in an engineering environment.
Skills & Professional Attributes Required:
- Strong general management and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Creativity and innovative skills in managing projects.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and formulate strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Mukwano Industries Uganda Ltd is seeking a competent Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Namanve. This role involves maintaining and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration units to ensure optimal operation.
Key Result Areas:
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on air conditioners and chillers.
- Plan and install air conditioning units.
- Prepare daily activity reports for submission.
- Diagnose malfunctions and arrange for corrective maintenance.
- Provide installation, repair, and replacement services for refrigeration and air conditioning units.
- Clean essential parts to ensure proper operation.
- Make requisitions for parts and necessary equipment.
- Adhere to environmental management system requirements.
