Job Title: Head – Vehicle Asset Finance

Job Purpose:
The Head of Vehicle Asset Finance will be responsible for driving the growth of the bank’s vehicle and asset financing portfolio across Uganda. This role will focus on expanding market share while ensuring optimal profitability.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Financial Management: Develop and manage profitable VAF business strategies, including setting targets and reviewing pricing to maintain competitiveness.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with dealers, customers, and industry associations. Analyze market trends to maximize VAF opportunities.
  • Internal Processes: Develop financial management information, training programs, and effective contracts. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and oversee technology deployment.
  • Product Development: Innovate and enhance VAF solutions to meet market demands.
  • Credit & Portfolio Management: Analyze financial data for credit applications, monitor portfolio performance, and manage risk.
  • Strategic Alliances: Form alliances with key industry players to strengthen VAF offerings.
  • Sales Management: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and support the sales team in achieving targets.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • University degree; advanced qualifications in Sales, Credit, or Relationship Management preferred.
  • 3-5 years of people management experience.
  • In-depth understanding of asset finance and strong financial analysis skills.
  • Proven track record in sales management and vehicle asset finance.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and sales skills.

Reporting to: Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer

Job Purpose:
The Head of Corporate Services will oversee the management of the bank’s properties, facilities, fleet, and administrative services, ensuring compliance with regulations and value for money.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Lead the development and implementation of Corporate Services strategy and annual plans.
  • Financial Management: Optimize departmental finances and contribute to overall cost reduction.
  • Facility Management: Maintain and enhance the bank’s facilities to reflect the brand and ensure high standards.
  • Risk and Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, and manage risk across the department.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure project specifications and budgets are met.
  • Security and Safety: Implement security procedures and manage health and safety activities.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee the management of the bank’s fleet according to policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field; Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong experience in supervising contractors and managing facilities in a corporate setting.
  • Project Management certification and experience managing infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and corporate branding.
