The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, strategic decision-making, and regulatory compliance across our diverse portfolio of projects. You will collaborate closely with senior management and stakeholders to provide accurate financial analysis, insights, and recommendations that drive operational efficiency and profitability in line with the accounting standards, financial guidelines, and PFMA 2015.
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial operations of an organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support long-term growth and profitability.
- Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and integrity in financial practices and decision-making.
- Maintain financial integrity by driving strategic decision-making and supporting the overall financial health and success of the organization in line with the accounting standards, financial guidelines, and PFMA 2015.
- Assist in the management of the company budget and implement all cost control measures to reduce operational budgets.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures and manage outsourced functions.
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational needs.
- Maintain banking relationships and assist in determining the company’s proper capital structure.
- Report to management on variances from the established budget and the reasons for those variances, assisting management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction.
- Interpret the company’s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities.
- Participate in target costing activities to create products that meet predetermined price goals.
- Compile key business metrics and report on them to management.
- Manage the capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Receive and process invoices ensuring they are valid for tax purposes.
- Ensure invoices are approved and signed by all responsible parties.
- Ensure FAR is updated monthly.
- Prepare weekly cash points for both entities.
- Submit approved invoices to the consulting firm.
- Review accounting done by the consulting firm.
- Prepare monthly reports after reviewing accounting done by the consulting firm.
- Input payments on Stanbic online and ensure all are signed and approved before final release.
- Assist GM in verifying suppliers and drafting subcontractors’ contracts.
- Prepare internal reports for CFO EA.
- Reconcile reports in local accounting software (Tally) with group internal software (Deal/Tagetik).
- Prepare and update cash forecasts.
- Prepare budgets as per group policy and reporting structure.
- Overhaul finance protocols, procedures, and strategy.
- Experience in financial reporting, month-end/year-end closing processes, and preparation of financial statements.
Profile
Required Qualifications and Work Experience:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience for a major large corporation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance obligations relevant to financial reporting, taxation, and other financial matters.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems and Microsoft suite, especially MS Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.

Description de la mission
The Electrical and Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for the following missions:
- Achieves optimal electrical system operational efficiency by maintaining electrical systems.
- Communicates job expectations, monitoring and reviews job contributions, plans and adjusts compensation actions, and enforces staff policies and procedures.
- Optimizes engineering performance by contributing engineering recommendations to strategic planning and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing quality and customer-service standard goals; resolving engineering issues; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
- Meets departmental financial objectives by forecasting requirements and challenges, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Develops strategic electrical and mechanical plans by studying operational plans and existing conditions, determining needs to accomplish operational plans, mapping solutions, updating and modifying requirements and solutions, and preparing cost estimates and budgets.
- Plans electrical and mechanical projects by determining specifications, selecting contractors, establishing installation schedules, planning shut-downs and installations, integrating architectural and mechanical design specifications, verifying code requirements, and updating cost estimates.
- Completes electrical projects by supervising installations and resolving design issues.
- Maintains electrical systems by establishing and enforcing ongoing maintenance schedules and procedures and testing programs, scheduling repairs, and coordinating shut-downs and installations.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by remaining current on codes and requirements, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by collaborating with other members of senior management.
- Manages vendor and subcontractor relationships.
Profile
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
- BS in electrical engineering required.
- 4-5 years relevant work experience.

- Report writing skills.
