Finance and Administration Officer
Supervisor: Finance and Administration Manager
Key Working Relationships: Program Teams, Finance Office NL, Operations and Management Team
Job Summary:
SEMA is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance and Administration Officer to oversee financial and administrative operations, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of SEMA and supporting its mission through effective financial management and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting: Maintain accurate accounting records, process accounts payable/receivable, reconcile bank statements, assist with financial reports, and manage payments.
- Financial Data Management: Accurately enter transactions, ensure completeness and proper coding, maintain timely filing, and build staff capacity in financial management.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly reconciliation statements, statutory returns, bank reconciliations, and audit schedules.
- Administration: Oversee procurement systems, logistical operations, and assist with budgeting and internal controls.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office.

Job Summary:
The Technology Manager will oversee SEMA’s IT infrastructure and systems, ensuring efficient data collection, analysis, and technological innovation. This role is vital for supporting SEMA’s objectives through robust technology solutions and effective team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Development & IT Infrastructure: Manage IT infrastructure, ensure system security and reliability, implement disaster recovery plans, and oversee feedback device production.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor the technology team, provide technical support, and foster a culture of innovation.
- Project Management: Manage IT projects from conception to completion, aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of IT management experience, including infrastructure management and software development.
- Strong technical expertise, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities.
What We Offer
- Full-time contract for 12 months, renewable upon successful performance.
- PAYE, NSSF, and health insurance coverage.
- 21 holidays and an annual training budget.
- Remuneration includes a base salary with performance-based increments. Note: Salaries are aligned with local Ugandan standards, not international scales.
