Summary

Description This position is contingent upon funder approval of key personnel and availability of funds. PSI Uganda seeks a Director of Finance and Administration to provide strategic leadership and oversight, maintaining sound PSI accounting systems and compliance with global finance policies and procedures. The role involves financial reporting, budget development and management, audits, legal, and sub-award management under an anticipated 5-year USAID/Uganda Social Behavioral Change Activity funded project.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years in accounting or business administration
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supervising project operations
- Experience managing large budgets, logistics, and supply chain management
- In-depth knowledge of USG financial reporting and compliance requirements
- Chartered Accountant/CPA preferred
- Proficiency in integrated, accrual-basis accounting systems
- Advanced computer skills, especially in Office 365 and Excel

Description This position is contingent upon funder approval of key personnel and availability of funds. PSI Uganda seeks entrepreneurial, dynamic candidates with significant leadership, management, and international development experience for the Chief of Party (CoP) position for an anticipated 5-year USAID-funded Social and Behavior Change (SBC) project. The project focuses on improving Ugandans’ health seeking behaviors in areas such as Maternal and Child Health (MCH), Tuberculosis (TB), and malaria.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide managerial and strategic leadership
- Technical leadership in SBC design, implementation, and M&E
- Partnering with and building capacity of key government SBC stakeholders
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships
- Financial and programmatic oversight
- Strong communications with USAID
- Implement a learning agenda
Requirements
- Master’s degree in public health, communication, marketing, or related field with 10 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in design, implementation, and monitoring of USAID-funded projects
- Experience working with Ministries of Health
- General knowledge in relevant health areas (MCH, TB, malaria, etc.)
- Experience in youth and/or gender equity programming
- Ability to manage staff, agreements, and reporting requirements
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
