Position Title: Data Collector

Brief Background:
World Voices Uganda is seeking qualified individuals to join our team as Data Collectors for the Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices (KAP) survey. This survey aims to assess community perceptions of justice mechanisms in the districts of Kakumiro, Kyegegwa, Kikuube, and Kagadi in Mid-Western Uganda. The survey is part of our broader Deepening Community Access to Justice Project (DCAJP), supported by IDLO, to enhance access to justice for vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection:
- Attend an induction led by the MEAL unit.
- Administer surveys and collect data using provided tools.
- Record and verify data for accuracy and completeness.
- Gather feedback, concerns, and complaints from respondents.
- Adhere to ethical standards and WVU policies.
- Participate in daily debrief meetings.
- Participant Engagement:
- Establish rapport with participants to ensure a comfortable environment.
- Clearly explain the survey’s purpose and address questions.
- Maintain participant privacy and confidentiality.
- Reporting:
- Submit completed data collection forms and relevant observations on time.
- Report any issues or challenges encountered during data collection.
- Training:
- Receive comprehensive training on survey objectives, methodology, and ethical considerations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in surveys or interviews is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with the target districts (Kyegegwa, Kagadi, Kakumiro, Kikuube) is advantageous.
Compensation:
Data collectors will be compensated at a competitive rate for their services.
