Purpose of the Role:
The CRR Associate will support the implementation and mainstreaming of the Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework (CRRF) in Uganda. This role involves organizing training, consultations, and planning processes, while ensuring efficient data management and stakeholder engagement to promote refugee inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement administrative and budget procedures.
  • Assist in developing work plans and reporting processes.
  • Support mapping exercises and realization of Global Refugee Forum (GRF) pledges.
  • Organize and prepare meetings, workshops, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and support information flow.
  • Facilitate partnerships with stakeholders and support the Solutions Unit.

Education & Experience:

  • 3 years relevant experience with a High School Diploma; or 2 years with a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Essential: Experience with private sector, NGOs, UN organizations, and government authorities in areas related to livelihoods.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of socio-economics, livelihoods/self-reliance, and previous UNHCR experience.

Job Title: Senior IT Assistant
Location: Uganda

Duration: Indefinite
Supervisor: Senior Officer
Technical Supervision: IT Officer

Deadline for Applications: September 6, 2024

Purpose of the Role:
The Senior IT Assistant will support the UNHCR office by managing ICT infrastructure, ensuring efficient operation of network systems, and providing technical assistance to staff. This role involves overseeing installations, maintenance, and user support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain LAN, network servers, and other ICT equipment.
  • Assist with software installations, hardware maintenance, and system backups.
  • Train staff on ICT systems and manage inventory.
  • Draft technical documentation and manage administrative ICT tasks.

Education & Experience:

  • For G5: 2 years relevant experience with a High School Diploma; or 1 year with a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Essential: Relevant experience in ICT.
  • Desirable: Hands-on experience with wireless/VoIP systems, electricity, and generators.

Key Competencies:

  • IT-Computer Literacy, Coordination, and Advocacy.
