Job Details: The Cost Accountant will conduct costing analysis and forecasting to aid management in decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, study, and collect data on costs of business activities.
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine effects on cost.
- Prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Record cost information for controlling expenditures.
- Estimate costs for new and proposed products.
- Provide management with reports on factors affecting cost and profitability.
- Assist in the end of month close of the General Ledger.
- Compile documentation on standard costs and production costs.
- Review product prices to ensure margins are maintained.
- Prepare periodic costing and production reports.
- Conduct cost center analysis and reporting.
- Establish and maintain an Activity Based Costing system.
- Recommend and execute process improvement projects.
- Educate teams on cost management.
- Prepare financial forecasts and analyses.
- Conduct risk assessments and advise on minimizing financial risks.
- Maintain the Cost Accounting System and Company’s ERP.
- Lead and supervise the costing team.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in BBA, B.COM, or related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Excellent computer skills and understanding of SAP BI.
