Activities:

Strategy and Delivery

  • Develop and execute the Company CSR Strategy.
  • Create a framework for project design, execution, sustainability, and monitoring & evaluation.
  • Initiate and lead new CSR initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor CSR budgets.
  • Manage contracting, procurement, and project management of CSR projects.
  • Oversee the CSR team.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on key CSR topics.

Communication

  • Define and implement a CSR communication plan.
  • Develop IEC and communication materials for stakeholders.
  • Produce the annual CSR report.
  • Organize events to showcase CSR impact.
  • Build relationships with authorities, partners, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop the CSR program with partners.
  • Identify and partner with relevant organizations and institutions.
  • Build relationships with development institutions and NGOs.
  • Promote coordination with project contractors and subcontractors.

Reporting

  • Monitor CSR strategies of other operators.
  • Engage in benchmarking and industry initiatives.
  • Prepare quarterly updates for stakeholder engagements.
  • Produce periodic CSR reports.

Person Specification:

Education, Training, Skills & Experience Qualification:

  • University Degree in Development, Communication, Political Science, Economics, Rural Development, Agronomy, Sociology, Project Management, Engineering, or Business.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years managing community or development projects.
  • Ability to maintain relations with local stakeholders.
  • Independent worker with strong deadline management.
  • Team player with flexibility.
  • Fieldwork capability.
  • Good report writing and analytical skills

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will manage the inspection and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, control and instrumentation equipment, and civil structures at power stations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain power plant installations and equipment.
  • Ensure high plant equipment availability.
  • Comply with preventive and condition-based maintenance activities.
  • Identify and solve plant equipment problems.
  • Lead vehicle, tool, and equipment maintenance.
  • Adhere to health and safety instructions.
  • Develop skills and coach direct reports.
  • Prepare maintenance budgets and control costs.
  • Ensure availability and proper storage of spare parts and tools.
  • Maintain documentation of maintenance activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Person Specification:

Education, Training, Skills & Experience Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical reporting and communication skills.
  • High integrity and self-discipline.
  • Valid Ugandan National Driving License (Class B and above) is an advantage.
  • Valid ERA Permit (Installation or Operation) is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English.

  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance or engineering environments.
