Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical assessment and evaluation of health of clients, delivering individualized patient-centered care and treatment in accordance with Good Clinical Practices.
  • Prepare and submit periodic activity work plans, monthly timesheets, and periodic reports to key stakeholders, aligning with health facility targets.
  • Offer appropriate advice, health education, and counseling to patients.
  • Monitor the implementation of comprehensive HIV care packages at health facilities, ensuring adherence to set targets.
  • Conduct pharmacovigilance procedures, monitor disease progression, and provide appropriate management. Refer complicated cases to higher levels of management and for community follow-up, following Good Clinical Practices and National Drug Authority guidelines.
  • Develop patient management plans for TB clients based on their TB status, following them up until they normalize in line with Good Clinical Practices.
  • Participate as a Quality Improvement (QI) team member, monitoring the implementation of QI projects for the health facility in collaboration with the health facility in charge, following Ministry of Health (MoH) guidelines for QI.
  • Prepare and present periodic findings regarding critical cases at case conferences and health facility continuous medical education sessions, promoting continuous professional development.
  • Provide technical support to at least three to four small volume health facilities within the catchment area.

Person Specification

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health or equivalent.
  • Active registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
  • At least two years of experience in clinic or hospital-based services.
  • Experience in HIV/AIDS and ART management is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to work and live in rural areas is required.

Work Hours:

  • 8 hours per day

Experience in Months:

  • 24 months

  • Associate Degree
