Summary:
UBA is seeking a highly motivated Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to develop and implement financial strategies to strengthen the bank’s financial capacity. This role requires close collaboration with the Managing Director/CEO to continuously improve the bank’s financial position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee financial strategies and work plans.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team.
  • Monitor expenses and control costs.
  • Achieve revenue targets and provide strategic support during audits.
  • Prepare and present financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Implementation of financial strategy.
  • Staff productivity and engagement.
  • Effectiveness in cost control.
  • Achievement of revenue targets.
  • Audit ratings and compliance levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years of banking experience, with 5 years in a core finance role.
  • Qualified accountant.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Expertise in banking operations, financial laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage change and inspire teams.
