JOB DETAILS:
General Summary: The Case Management Assistant will provide quality comprehensive HIV counseling services to clients, partners, family members, and communities to address the HIV epidemic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all newly identified positive clients are linked and initiated on ART in their chosen facilities.
- Implement Assisted Partner Notification (APN) by interviewing and eliciting sexual contacts at service points.
- Provide intensive adherence counseling (IAC) to non-suppressing clients.
- Conduct health education sessions on ART clinic days in supported facilities.
- Document activities in relevant data tools, compile MoH and program reports.
- Assist in setting up peer support groups and facilitating meetings for special populations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the team leader.
Person Specification:
- Diploma in Social Work, Social Administration, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Minimum two years’ experience in an HIV/AIDS clinical setting.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in local languages.
- HIV/AIDS Counseling Certificate preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work in rural areas.

General Summary: The Theatre Assistant will support SMC processes, ensure infection prevention protocols, and maintain cleanliness and sterilization of theatre equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in circumcision processes and conduct client follow-up.
- Ensure proper documentation and sterilization of theatre equipment and linen.
- Adhere to infection prevention and healthcare waste SOPs.
- Clean theatre environment as per MoH standards.
- Manage theatre waste disposal according to infection control SOPs.
- Clean, disinfect, pack, and sterilize surgical instruments.
Person Specification:
- Certificate in a health-related discipline (e.g., Nursing).
- Minimum two years’ experience in an operating theatre setting.
- Certificate in SMC training preferred.
- Understanding of infection prevention in healthcare settings.
- Active practicing license and registration with Uganda Nurses and Midwifery Council.
