About the Role:
As the Administrative & Logistics Officer, you will ensure the efficient operation of Spark’s Uganda offices (Kampala and Bulambuli). This role involves managing office administration, logistics, and procurement tasks to support Spark’s mission and activities in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Oversee daily office operations and manage scheduling for meetings and events.
    • Maintain office filing systems and support the onboarding process for new employees.
    • Ensure compliance with administrative policies and local regulations.
    • Act as the primary contact for internal and external communications.
    • Monitor and manage the office budget.
  • Logistics Tasks:
    • Coordinate logistics for program-related activities and manage office inventory.
    • Supervise office equipment and facilities maintenance.
    • Optimize office space and ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Procurement Tasks:
    • Manage procurement processes, ensuring transparency and compliance with Spark’s policies.
    • Negotiate contracts and maintain supplier relationships.
    • Prepare and process invoices and support audit preparations.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in logistics and office administration.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and collaboration tools. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong ethics and attention to detail.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with administrative software and tools.

Job Title: Finance Officer

About the Role:
The Finance Officer will oversee the financial management of community projects and grants in Uganda. This role involves tracking grant usage, managing field finances, and ensuring compliance with Spark’s financial policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor project activities and grant usage.
    • Maintain financial records and complete monthly reporting procedures.
    • Manage payments and forecast cash flow needs.
    • Conduct field audits and support statutory audits.
  • Project Support:
    • Participate in project proposal reviews and evaluate completed projects.
    • Provide financial tools and training to partners.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in finance and accounting, with experience in grant management.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; experience with Oracle Netsuite is a plus. Strong understanding of accounting principles and Uganda tax requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to conduct field audits and handle financial proposals.
