Duties and Responsibilities:
- Upload payments in online banking.
- Initiate Purchase Orders based on approvals.
- Submit invoices and payment requests to Group AP, ensuring statutory payments are processed by deadlines.
- Follow up with Group AP to ensure payments are approved and handled promptly, focusing on urgent payments.
- Supervise the Accounts Payable process from receipt of supplier invoices to final payment, including EFT initiation.
- Maintain accurate supplier accounts and ensure timely posting of approved transactions.
- Manage Withholding Tax exemptions.
- Validate and gather data for new suppliers and open their accounts in Tally post-CFO approval.
- Load Pre-Approvals to RMS.
- Maintain historical records and audit trails.
- Prepare Weekly Aged Payables Reports.
- Support Internal & External audits.
- Reconcile and validate Payables for various traffic types.
- Train and motivate the AP team for task completion and future roles.
Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant or similar certification.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Energetic, willing to learn, honest, and maintains confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with stakeholders including URA, NSSF, and Tax Advisors.
- Lead discussions with URA and maintain correspondence records.
- Maintain transfer pricing documentation and perform risk checks.
- Review tax workings and ensure timely filing and payment of returns.
- Manage tax audits, address identified gaps, and implement recommendations.
- Review and reconcile general ledger tax accounts.
- Monitor URA tax ledgers and address reconciling items promptly.
- Assess and manage tax-related risks and provide mitigation strategies.
Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field with a CPA or ACCA certification.
- Five years’ experience in a professional audit firm or manufacturing organization.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in ERP environments, reporting tools, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good business acumen and understanding of various business processes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively with high ethical standards.
