Job Role/Purpose

The Account Manager plays a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with significant clients, representing the Uganda branch, and striving for client satisfaction. The Account Manager must also be able to identify new cross and upsell opportunities, communicate these to internal team members, and assist in crafting new solutions to increase sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving Profitable Growth:
    • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers.
    • Achieve new business monthly and annually against set sales targets.
    • Manage assigned accounts portfolio.
    • Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs.
    • Create, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.
    • Focus on acquiring new customers to ensure revenue growth.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Provide account plans and activity reports.
    • Ensure all customer queries are attended to and resolved within agreed SLAs.
    • Communicate with major clients regularly and respond to specific queries.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Handle complaints and problems in a timely manner.
    • Act as the liaison between clients and internal teams.
    • Identify and approach new potential strategic clients.
    • Negotiate mutually profitable business plans with clients.
  • Business Relationship Information:
    • Deliver exceptional client service.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor activity, products, and services.
    • Keep CRM system data pristine for assigned accounts.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s in Business/IT, Management, or any related field.
  • Relevant Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in sales, preferably in telecom/data center/IT area.
    • Experience in Account Management.
    • Solid sales experience in a B2B environment.
    • Hands-on experience with CRM software and account management systems.
    • Understanding of sales performance metrics.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships.
    • Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
    • Availability to travel as needed.
  • Personal and Behavioral Dispositions:
    • Excellent communication (Oral and written) skills.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under minimum supervision.

Job Role/Purpose

Oversees legal matters in Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya (the “Region”), involving drafting agreements, ensuring compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements, and advising other teams on various legal questions. Supports the Head of Legal & Compliance on the group level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal and Commercial Responsibilities:
    • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
    • Provide strategic legal support to business development initiatives.
  • Corporate Governance and Support:
    • Support the Head of Legal in managing Board communications.
    • Manage corporate documentation.
  • Compliance and Organizational Management:
    • Provide legal guidance concerning compliance with local laws and regulations.
    • Formulate and refine internal governance policies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with external service providers and clients.
    • Engage with local legal counsel and auditors to address country-specific legal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Minimum Master’s degree level qualification in Law.
  • Relevant Experience:
    • 5-8 years of work experience in a similar role (legal counsel).
    • Proven expertise in legal and compliance roles, with a strong foundation in commercial law.
    • Professional experience in the telecommunication and IT sector is a plus.
  • Personal and Behavioral Dispositions:
    • Excellent written, verbal, and numerical skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
    • Strong attention to detail and unwavering integrity and confidentiality.
