About DAI: DAI is a global development organization that tackles fundamental social and economic development problems caused by inefficient markets, ineffective governance, and instability. We implement a range of projects aimed at improving food and water security, empowering communities, and advancing sustainable development.

Project Background: The USAID Feed the Future Uganda Water and Food Systems (WFS) Activity is a five-year initiative (2023-2028) led by DAI Global ELC, in partnership with Catholic Relief Services, Stantec, Market Share Associates, and the International Water Management Institute. This project focuses on enhancing food and water security in the Kyoga Basin in northeastern Uganda by addressing critical needs and improving livelihoods across three key watersheds: Lokok, Awoja, and Lokere.

Role Summary: The Operations Officer will support the Operations Manager in managing day-to-day office functions, ensuring high efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities include office management, procurement, logistics, administration, and fleet management. The role requires collaboration with the Programs team to meet project needs and achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing daily office operations.
  • Handle office procurement, management, and logistics.
  • Manage fleet operations and ensure effective administration.
  • Collaborate with the Programs team for operational support.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in office operations management, including procurement, logistics, and administration.
  • Experience with USAID project operations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of local languages is a plus.

Work Hours: 8 hours per day
