Job Summary:
We are seeking four dynamic and dedicated Officers for Tax Education and Outreach to join our team at Uganda Revenue Authority. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and implementing tax education and outreach programs aimed at enhancing taxpayer awareness and promoting voluntary compliance with Uganda’s tax system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Manage Tax Education Materials:
- Create and distribute targeted tax education content.
- Develop and implement tax curricula for various segments.
- Coordinate translations of tax materials.
- Manage URA eLearning and web platforms.
- Oversee production and distribution of tax materials.
- Coordinate Taxpayer Engagements:
- Organize and manage taxpayer engagement activities.
- Collaborate with departments to design public tax awareness campaigns.
- Educate taxpayers on their rights and obligations.
- Coordinate and participate in workshops, seminars, and community events.
- Plan and Execute Tax Information Dissemination:
- Manage logistics for tax information dissemination activities.
- Coordinate with service providers and handle payments.
- Oversee event setup, branding, and material distribution.
- Organize Specialized Events:
- Plan and coordinate events to enhance tax literacy.
- Develop partnerships with stakeholders and manage event logistics.
- Evaluate event effectiveness and prepare reports.
Qualifications:
- Essential:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in community outreach, public education, or similar roles.
- Strong integrity and reliability.
- Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in tax administration or public relations.
- Knowledge of Uganda’s tax laws and policies.
- Experience in content creation and public speaking.

- Creativity and innovation in educational content development.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to various work demands.
