JOB DETAILS:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with technical support on standards, planning, implementation, and monitoring of feasibility studies and designs for water for agricultural production and other agricultural infrastructure.
- Support the design process; recommend suitable crops under the prevailing irrigation systems.
- Design and implement efficient irrigation schedules and oversee the maintenance of irrigation infrastructure.
- Provide advice on the rational use of water for irrigation, maximizing revenues, and increasing efficiency through appropriate technologies.
- Support the development of a strategy for the operation and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure.
- Provide assistance on practices to enhance soil fertility and structure and prevent soil erosion.
- Carry out any other assignments as may be assigned from time to time.
Academic and Experience Requirements:
- The applicant should possess a Diploma in Agriculture (Crop), Agronomy, Agriculture, Social Science Agriculture Land Use, and Management or a related field.
