Project Background:
DAI is seeking three Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officers for the USAID Feed the Future Uganda Water and Food Systems (WFS) Activity. This five-year initiative (2023-2028) is aimed at enhancing food and water security in the Kyoga Basin of northeastern Uganda. The project focuses on three key watersheds: Lokok, Awoja, and Lokere. The WFS Activity is a collaborative effort with partners including Catholic Relief Services, Stantec, Market Share Associates, and the International Water Management Institute.
The project’s objectives include:
- Improving water supply and integrated water resource management.
- Increasing access to sanitation and hygiene services.
- Enhancing agriculture-based livelihoods.
- Promoting nutritious food consumption.
- Expanding financial resources access for marginalized groups.
- Building local capacity to manage shocks and stressors.
Job Details:
The MEL Officers will support the MEL Manager in executing the project’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning initiatives. This role involves contributing to the design, implementation, and management of MEL activities to ensure the project achieves its objectives and maintains high-quality data and analysis.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, or a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably with USAID projects.
- Skills:
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in local languages is preferred.
- Knowledge of research methods and MEL processes.
Work Hours: 8 hours per day
Experience: Minimum of 72 months in a similar role
