Job Summary:
The Digital Tax Stamp Coordinator will support the Tax Manager in managing tax risks related to Digital Stamps. This role involves overseeing the entire DTS process, including ordering, stamp application on cement bags, activation, and reconciliation. The position is based at Hima Plant and Tororo.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the stamp application process on cement bags across three production plants and ensure timely activation of all products dispatched.
- Implement and monitor controls to prevent the sale of cement without activated stamps.
- Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations of activated stamps against dispatch and production records in the ERP system, ensuring approvals as per matrix.
- Maintain accurate records of stamps received, used, damaged, and in stock.
- Conduct regular stock counts and forecast stamp requirements against current inventory.
- Ensure proper disposal of damaged bags verified by revenue authorities and maintain records of damaged stamps during production.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Technical Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or Statistics (obtained within the last 2 years).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and inquisitive approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Sheets.
Profile and Personal Qualities:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
