About St Francis Hospital Nkokonjeru
St Francis Hospital Nkokonjeru, supported by the Makerere University Walter Reed Project, is dedicated to improving HIV and TB prevention, care, and treatment services in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, local government structures, and faith-based organizations. We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Data Clerk to support our Health Systems Strengthening initiative.
Position Summary
The Data Clerk will ensure accurate and efficient data management and reporting. This role involves maintaining precise electronic and paper-based records, supporting data-driven decision-making, and contributing to patient care services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter patient information and medical records into the electronic information systems.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
- Review and verify data accuracy and completeness in both paper and electronic formats.
- Lead routine data cleaning processes to enhance data quality.
- Generate accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Submit required reports in MoH, PEPFAR, and program-supported platforms.
- Utilize the Health Facility’s EMR system for data entry, retrieval, and reporting.
Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- Minimum Diploma in Information and Communication Technology, Statistics, Medical Records, or related field. A Degree is an added advantage.
- Prior data entry experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, DHIS2, and other data collection and reporting tools.
- Attention to detail, commitment to high-quality work, adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality, strong organizational and time-management skills, and excellent communication abilities.
- Fluency in English and local languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Availability
- Ability to travel on water and ride a motorcycle is an added advantage.
- Ability to reside in Buvuma, Nyenga.
Contract Tenure
- 1 year, with a possibility of extension based on funding availability.
Supervision
- Reports to the Data Officer.
