Job Purpose
The Credit Officer for Micro Loans will mobilize, appraise, disburse, monitor, and recover loans within their portfolio in line with Asaak’s credit policies, procedures, and set targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Mobilize and educate customers about Asaak’s loan products and services.
- Present loan proposals to the loan committee and provide feedback to applicants.
- Conduct loan appraisals in accordance with Asaak’s lending policy.
- Monitor and evaluate loan performance according to disbursement terms and conditions.
- Initiate recovery actions for loans in default following loan policy guidelines.
- Organize focus group meetings with clients to gather feedback for service improvement.
- Prepare reports on delinquencies, collections, and other required reports.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Person Specifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using a smartphone/computer and Google Applications is advantageous.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to ride a motorcycle and a valid riding license with Class A is a plus.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Microfinance, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in Marketing, Collections, and Managing Credit portfolios.
- Prior experience as a loan officer is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Boda Boda financing is a plus.
