Job Summary
Roofings Group is seeking 15 Machine Operators to join their team in Lubowa, Uganda. This full-time position is in the manufacturing industry, particularly within the science and engineering category.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce goods in required quality and quantity.
- Minimize scrap generation.
- Set up and prepare machines for production.
- Operate machines and ensure proper use of raw materials.
- Mark products as per standards.
- Maintain daily records of production and downtime.
- Monitor machine conditions and report faults.
- Clean, lubricate, and tighten machine fasteners.
- Maintain general housekeeping of the work environment.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Education: Ordinary diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years as a Machine Operator in a similar work environment.
- Technical Skills: Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- Other Skills:
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills.
- Reasoning ability.
- Effective communication skills.
- Self-motivation and teamwork abilities.
